Every Canvas is an Original

Even though I will use an image in a limited edition of 50, every canvas is still an original! The photo transfer method, that I do by hand, will reveal a slightly different result everytime. Making no 2 canvases the same.

If you have an idea that you don't see in my portfolio, email me and we can talk about your idea. I will photograph your idea and send you some proofs to choose from. I will create a variety of different sized canvas's and compositions for you to choose from. You will recieve the first in the limited edition of 50. Prices for commissions are the same as my other canvas's and will be for resale.

About Me

Becky Wortman: Becky Wortman is a fine art photographer living in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. With family roots in Courtenay going as deep and far back as the late 1800s she is truly an Island girl. Growing up on the outskirts of Courtenay, on the edge of the Puntledge River, Becky's childhood summers were full of blackberry picking, bike riding and swimming in the river. After High school, Becky spent several years working and traveling in Asia, finally coming home to pursue art at North Island College. Her experience in the college's Fine Art and Design program allowed Becky to delve into many mediums, but it was photography that fueled her creative fire. In 2006, Becky received her professional photography certificate. She then began experimenting with different forms of digital photography. She wanted to combine her love of photography and printmaking to create original Images, images that would give the same raw feeling that she got from black and whites in the darkroom and a poster quality from printmaking. Becky found the effect she was looking for through photo transfers.
